Kaikilanialiʻiwahineopuna
Polynesian Voyaging Society Named Ankaa, a star after our kupunawahine.
Ankaa = Kaikilani [Lit., The small chief. Kaikilani was the first Mō‘iwahine of Hawai‘i island, and her ascent to leadership united warring factions of the same family. Ankaa is south of Algenib = Pi‘ilani and Markab/Keawe, and Kaikilani was a descendant of both Māui and Hawai‘i lineages.
International Astronomical Union named a complex crater on the planet Venus after our kupunawahine.
The honor of these celestial bodies bearing the name of our kupunawahine undoubtedly validates the important significance she held during her reign.
